Privacy Policy
This policy explains how TheTurnBook handles information when you browse our catalogue, compare options or follow a buying link.
Information used by this website
- Browsing and security: our hosting and website services may process technical information such as IP address, browser information, requested pages and access times to operate and protect the website.
- Affiliate link activity: our catalogue records the time of a buying-link click, the linked product and offer, destination, placement, referring page when available and browser user-agent. A recorded click does not prove a purchase.
- Country selection: the country you select is used to filter eligible offers. It does not determine your residency or guarantee provider eligibility.
- Messages: if you email us, we use your message and contact details to respond and investigate the issue.
Cookies, storage and external media
Website functionality and signed-in sessions can use cookies. Linked marketplaces and affiliate networks may set their own cookies when you visit them. Offer images loaded from an external server can share your IP address and browser request information with that server. You can control cookies and site storage in your browser; blocking them may affect functionality or affiliate attribution.
Your comparison shortlist is stored in your browser’s session storage and contains selected listing IDs and names. It is used to keep your choices while you browse. Clear the shortlist using the comparison bar or your browser’s site-data controls.
Your selected country is remembered in a functional cookie for up to seven days. You can change it with the country selector or clear it by selecting global offers. When a local MaxMind database is configured, we may use your IP address on our server to estimate your country; this is approximate and you can override it. The local country lookup does not require sending your visitor IP to a third-party lookup API.
Why information is used
We use information to operate the site, maintain security, understand aggregate link activity, improve content, respond to enquiries and investigate incorrect or broken listings. We do not ask you to submit card numbers, bank credentials, OTPs or credit-card application documents to compare offers.
Third-party websites
Applications and purchases occur on external provider websites. Those providers and their affiliate networks operate under their own privacy policies and may use tracking identifiers for referral attribution. Review their policy before sharing personal or financial information. We do not receive your complete application or payment details through the comparison tool.
Retention and your choices
Operational records and correspondence are kept for the purposes described above and reviewed when no longer needed. Provider referral records follow the provider’s policies. To request access, correction or deletion of information you have shared with us, use our contact page. We may need enough information to identify the record and verify the request; please do not send passwords or financial documents.
Updates
We may update this policy when our features or data practices change. The current version is published on this page.
