Compare the same hotel, room, guests and dates, then compare the total payable price and cancellation terms. A lower headline room price can become a higher total after taxes or a less flexible booking. No platform is always cheapest.
Make the bookings comparable
Use identical dates, occupancy and children’s ages. Check the exact room category, bed type, meals and any extra-bed arrangement. A hotel name alone is not enough to establish that two offers are equivalent.
Read the final price
Compare the checkout total, payment currency and charges payable at the property. Distinguish a rate that includes breakfast from one that does not. Check whether an offer needs a particular payment method and whether your card or account qualifies.
Cancellation is part of the product
Record the free-cancellation deadline including local time, any later penalty and the no-show conditions. Agoda’s terms direct travellers to check the selected reservation’s booking, cancellation and no-show policies. Refundable and pay-at-property are not interchangeable promises.
Match flexibility to the trip
If your itinerary is uncertain, compare the cost of a flexible rate with the potential loss on a non-refundable rate. For a fixed trip, you may decide differently. Do not count a coupon saving without considering the cancellation conditions attached to that booking.
Check the support arrangement
Find out who can change the reservation and how to contact support outside normal hours. If you need an invoice or a specific check-in arrangement, confirm the process before paying. Save the reservation confirmation and property contact details.
Keep flights separate from hotel campaigns
